Position: Facilitator

The Role:

• CareeReady is a career guidance and employability program, based in communities and colleges.
• Through an immersive two-month long curriculum, CareeReady works with young adults from lower economic backgrounds in Junior colleges, senior colleges and communities to build employability skills and to provide a first step into a career of their choice.
• CareeReady facilitators are thus trained by Antarang to be Career Facilitators through an intensive training program. The training enables the facilitators to become adept at the CareeReady curriculum.
• It also builds on their existing facilitation skills to prepare them to support their batch of 20-25 students.

Major responsibilities:
● Instill a healthy learning culture where students actively collaborate and take
ownership of the program
● Coach the group through the entire group life cycle: enrolment, facilitation, exposure
visits, guest speakers, interview preparation, placements, mentoring
● Build and maintain professional relationships with all relevant stakeholders including
parents, coordinators, community influencers, partner organizations, etc.
● Follow a proprietary curriculum designed by Antarang to achieve program goals &

outcomes
● Ensure timely maintenance of various databases with regard to student and other
stakeholder information
● Attend all team meetings and training programs
● Be a role model & guide to students during and post the program, as they start their
professional journey
● Give periodic critical feedback about the program, content and operations to relevant
teams

Profile Requisites:
● Graduate
● Excellent communication: fluency in English and Hindi
● Passionate about working in and working for youth from low income economic
backgrounds
● Integrity and ability to work & problem-solve independently
● Able to commit 4 hours (between 8 am-3 pm) every weekday for at least 6
months
● Patient with a pleasant personality and a strong willingness to learn
