Position: Project Manager
Organization: Development Solutions Inc.
Location: New Delhi
Job responsibilities:
• Core responsibilities
1. Coordination/ Management of consultancy and advisory assignments of the organization.
This includes
• Design, plan and implement assignments
• Support with the process of development of instruments for data collection
• Travel/coordinate travel to the field as required.
• Ensure requisite technical support to and work effectively with teams, as necessary;
2. Monitoring
• Monitor implementation to ensure timely and effective project completion, as well as budget management;
• Coordination with field team members to ensure data quality
3. Draft and finalize reports.
• Undertake data analysis, interpret results
• Draft and finalize reports and ensure that the client's needs are met.
4. Client interactions
• Be a part of the client interactions both for ongoing assignments and during the presentation of bids/proposals.
• Capacity development
• Guide and mentor the team, especially the younger team members in the organization
• Identify technical/other capacity needs within the organization; and enable support for capacity building.
• Knowledge management
• Bring new learning and innovation to enable a "learning organization";
• Disseminate and promote learning and knowledge from assignments to the wider community
• Business Development
• Support business development processes, as required, drafting proposals and identifying new business opportunities.
Education qualification and skills
• Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
• 2-5 years of experience having worked in the development sector or consultancy organizations.
• Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills along with strong communication
• Ability to contribute beyond the defined scope of work
• Adhere to timelines; and the ability to execute tasks efficiently.
• Work effectively with a team
• Persons with prior experience in drafting reports are preferred.
Desirable:
Experience working in consulting organizations is highly desirable
