Brief Job Description:
The role of the PC-Vocational Skill Development is to identify trainees, course identification, institution identification, conduct training programmes, coordination, post training placement of candidates, relationship management with training institutes and resource persons etc. and as laid out in the project document, or as instructed by the reporting officer from time to time.
• Liaison with Govt. Officials, training institutes and resource persons
• Develop, maintain and regularly update database of training institutions with regard to thematic area of expertise, training calendar, fee structure and resource persons at national and local level in the state.
• Data base of the trainees and other data, project progress.
• Undertake field travels to monitor, supervise and organise programs and provide support to field officers in implementation of programs and meeting objectives of program and organisation
• Preparation and submission of periodic reports of progress as laid out in the project document
Stakeholders coordination:
• Ensure close coordination and strong partnerships with all partners and stakeholders like ITIs, State Skill Department, local industries, other relevant government line departments at State, district and block levels, schools, colleges, Vocational Training Providers, etc.
• Keep abreast of skill and job demand in the local industries, identifying crucial tie ups and partnering with local institutes, to ensure they know about the project to enable placement of the candidates receiving skilling under the project
• Ensure high quality information and visibility of the project activities to the stakeholders.
• Ensure regular production of case studies, social media posts, photographs, short videos from the project
Must Haves Qualifications and Attributes:
• Master’s degree in social sciences, preferably in Economics, Public Policy, Governance, or related disciplines with relevant professional qualifications and necessary knowledge to undertake the assignment.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in skill development and employment generation projects.
• Prior experience of working with development agency/s and CSR projects in the domain of employment and entrepreneurship are preferable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Can work independently or with minimal supervision. Should achieve visible results and ability to turn complex program information into simple, easy to digest content
• Well-developed organisational skills
• Highly motivated, dynamic and eager to make a difference in the social sector
• Strong autonomy. Able to manage several projects simultaneously if required.
