Position Overview: 

Adhyayan Foundation is beginning work with the DoE, Tripura to build the capacity of 1000+ government officials and school leaders to: 

1. review school quality across the state 
2. provide professional development to school leaders 
3. use data to monitor the quality of schools, build systemic accountability as well as provide support to schools based on their needs. 

The Project Manager, Training and Quality Assurance, will oversee the capacity building and improvement journey of 10-20 complex leaders. 

Experience and Qualifications: 

• 2-3 years of experience working in the field of formal education including classroom teaching experience with a strong grasp of child-centric pedagogy. 
• Postgraduate degree in education preferred. 
• Some experience building capacity of stakeholders in education is preferred. 
• Experience in managing projects and leading small teams. 

Responsibilities: 

• To lead the training of a cadre of assessors from the government to review schools using evidence. 
• To liaise with the district office and update them about the progress of the program.
• To oversee the quality of school validations being conducted. 
• To work closely with school complex leaders to build their capacity to conduct evidence-based visits to school, conduct complex meetings and provide on-site professional development. 
• To mentor complex leaders to support the schools in their improvement journey.

• Ability to work with people from various backgrounds and of varying age groups.
• Thrives in challenging environments and listens deeply. 
• Great communication and collaboration skills. 
• Strong problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to ride a two-wheeler and ready to travel to schools. 
• Ability to speak Bengali and English. Kokborok is a plus. 
• Flexible and open to working in a dynamic environment with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. 
• Professionalism and ethical standards that ensure timely delivery, discretion and respect for Adhyayan’s organisational culture and code of conduct. 
• Passionate about educational equity and willing to learn.
