Overview of the role and responsibility 

The Indian School of Public Policy is seeking a Learning Associate (LA) to support Faculty In-charge, Writing and Communication Lab and the Careers team. The LA will devote 70% time to the WCL, assisting the Instructor in managing the course schedules, uploading readings, grading assignments, collecting scholar feedback, and managing overall coursework through a learning management system. 

The LA will devote 30% time with the Careers team, providing administrative support to the team which works closely with the WCL to bolster scholars’ professional development.  This position is appropriate for individuals looking to gain experience in an academic role, in communications, and in career development.

Prior experience and credentials 

  • Must have a master’s degree in Communications/Social Sciences/Humanities. English Majors are strongly preferred.  

  • Strong writing and communication skills.

  • Advanced Google Suite applications, including Google Drive, Forms, Slides, Sheets.

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Previous experience in an academic setting is desirable.

Qualities desired 

  • Must have effective communication skills. 

  • Experienced in using and managing social media applications.

  • Experienced in data visualisation applications eg. Google Charts, Tableau.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced academic setting.

  • Must be comfortable making presentations and conducting seminar sessions. 

  • Should have a collaborative approach to dealing with Scholars and team members. 

  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to learning.

Compensation 

  • ₹ 50,000 per month.
