Position: M&E Coordinator

Organization: Development Solutions Inc

Location: New Delhi

Job responsibilities

Core responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the M&E portfolio of the organization. This includes
    1. Develop methods, frameworks (includes research methods, sampling, and analysis plans) for ongoing assignments and proposals.
    • Development of analysis plan for assignments.
    • Data cleaning, building codebooks, doing consistency checks, and adjusting and weighting of data for comparative analysis
    • Identify relationships and trends in data and any factors that could affect the results of the research.
    • Undertake statistical tests and regressions to analyze the data.
    • Interpretation of the results and support with report writing.
    • Develop research methods, sampling for bids/proposals
      1. Support with the process of development of instruments for data collection
      • Specifically, develop, code, and deploy survey tools using CAPI programs such as Survey CTO
    1. Monitoring
    • Travel to field locations for monitoring of data collection
    • Coordination with field team members for data quality checks
    • Manage and monitor data sets regularly – during and post data collection, supervise and provide instructions and support to field team members.
    1. Client interactions

Be a part of the client interactions both for ongoing assignments and during the presentation of bids/proposals

  • Business Development
    1. Support business development processes, as required, drafting sampling designs and methods.  

Education qualification and skills.

  • Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution. A degree in statistics/ economics/ econometrics/ demography/ survey methodologies would be desired.
  • 1-2 years of experience in M&E roles/ or having led or managed surveys and impact evaluations, preferred.
  • Experience with sampling methods for development programs
  • Skills and ability to undertake statistical data analytics; conversant with software such as STATA/ R.
  • Experience of having worked with consultancy organizations, having managed research, survey, and evaluation assignments, is preferred. 
  • Knowledge, understanding and/or experience of having worked on social development issues is preferred.
  • Conversant in English, with the ability to undertake client interactions and support report writing.
  • Adhere to timelines; and the ability to execute tasks efficiently.
  • Work effectively with a team.

Desirable: Professional experience in M&E in social impact project-based settings.
