MAJOR TASKS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED:

I.Programme Area: NUTRITION

• Support ICDS in ensuring capacity building of caregivers to prepare nutrition dense foods for young children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers and linking it with growth monitoring.
• Facilitate linking the 100% SAM identified families to WASH schemes such as Harghar Jal, Toilet (In Sitamarhi) and with Nutrigardens in backyard linking
• WASH compliant NRCs in the district and facilitating 100% toilet and hand washing with soap facility in AWCs in which SAM programme is located.
• Strengthening Maternal Nutrition program through VHSND platform including focusing uninterrupted supply chain (MN Supplies through green channel), supportive supervision and facilitate program review through monthly DHS review (Health)
• While strengthening WASH at School also include Jr WIFS and WIFS through school-based platform and facilitate strengthening supply chain and reporting in coordination with Health and Edu dept at district. (Supply chain analysis on quarterly basis)
• Convergent Action Plan ( Annual) with quarterly meetings in the District.
• Risk assessment of AWCs for Flood and capacity development training for all cadres

II.Programme Area: WASH

• Review of SBM Phase II Annual implementation Plan & facilitate its implementation.
• Facilitate effective implementation, management, and monitoring of various ODF+ (SLRM, FSSM & PWM) initiatives by the state.
• Technical Assistance for Water Sector Programming including MGPNY & Jal-Jeewan-Hariyali Mission (JJHM).
• Coordinate and ensure smooth implementation of UNICEF’s agreed work plan with CSO/expert Agencies in areas of sanitation, water, WASH in institutions, and Social & Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC).
• Coordinate with line departments for development of a convergence plans for improved and sustainable WASH services in public institutions (Schools, AWC & HCF).
• Support COVID response activities.

III.Programme Area: DISASTER RISK REDUCTION (DRR)

• Technical assistance to education department in the implementation of Chief Minister School Safety Programme in intervention district.
• Development of Climate Smart Model Schools.
• Technical assistance to Panchayat Raj Department in the development of risk-informed, gender responsive, WASH compliant, child friendly GPDP.
• Technical assistance to district administration and key line departments in emergency preparedness and response.
• Training of adolescents and youths, Volunteers from NYKS, NSS, NCC, Jeevika functionaries on safe behaviours, Nutrition services and positive social norms
• TA to district administration in the implementation of DDMP

Other Tasks

• Facilitate proper knowledge management and reporting of the TA implementation in the district through audio, video, and print medium.
• Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
