Position: Project Lead
Organization: The Development Intelligence Unit (DIU)
About the Position:
DIU is seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Project Lead to anchor and operationalize its vision and activities. The Project Lead would work directly with TRIF and Sambodhi leadership on strategic, business operations and development related functions. This is a client facing role with opportunity to engage with influential development stakeholders, as well as play an instrumental role in ecosystem and narrative building for data for development in the rural Indian context.
Responsibilities
• Working directly with both TRIF and Sambodhi leadership on strategic, business operations, and development related activities
• Anchoring projects under DIU and operationalizing vision into effective project design
• Leading and nurturing a team of data, technology, and research professionals
• Engaging and maintaining open communication channel with external stakeholders and funders
• Overseeing project management, activity workstream, and execution of activities
• Maintaining documents, concept notes, and communication collateral
• Contributing to outreach and narrative building activities by authoring articles, blogs, etc.
Personal Competencies
• In-depth knowledge of Research, Evaluation, Data Analysis, as well as thematic understanding of practice areas and discourse in the development and social sectors
• Should have excellent understanding of the relevant policy landscape and regulatory environment
• High level of involvement, engagement and ownership
• Flair for building quality relationships with clients and partners • Demonstrated competence in handling teams
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation ability
• Proven influencer and communicator with senior stakeholders within and outside the organization
• Strong time management skill and ability to prioritize
Eligibility
• Doctorate/Advance Masters/Master’s in Social Sciences or related disciplines from premier University
• Minimum 10-15 years of work experience in social and development sector
• Deep understanding public systems, public intent data and the policy landscape
• Experience of working in the social and development research in management of large-scale surveys is desired
