Key Accountabilities:
The State Education Liaising Coordinator will support the overall implementation of the ‘Elementary School Transformation Program’ in collaboration with Mo School, Odisha Govt. The following is the overall job description of the State Education Liaising Coordinator
Program implementation and Convergence:
• Support the Education Department in undertaking the planned joint program collaboration initiatives towards overall system strengthening initiatives in Rayagada and Kandhamal districts in South Odisha.
• To work in close collaboration with nodal departmental agencies viz; Mo School, OSEPA, SCERT, and other non-profits at the state, towards the completion of different assignments under the joint program collaboration initiative of elementary education transformation program with Mo School.
• Facilitate issuance of necessary orders, circulars etc. from Mo School, OSEPA, SCERT, for the program implementation on regular basis.
• Ensure effective convergence at the district/ block level with officials from the education and other line department for quality delivery at the field level and improvement of institutional capacity of CRCs, BRCs in collaboration with the field team.
• Facilitate the development of Gram panchayat level demonstration schools, setting up quality library in schools and functionalization of various components such as school science labs
• Work closely with district teams, DEOs, BEOs and the academic leadership of the designated districts on overall system strengthening aspects leading to improvement in learning level outcomes.
• Make field visits to understand the issues and challenges in the system strengthening initiatives, while analysing data and trends and share the necessary recommendations with the program lead
Training and Capacity Building
• Facilitate joint training programs in collaboration with Mo School and OSEPA. Coordinate and support in implementing training modules, assessment tools, training follow ups etc.
• Support in preparing training calendar and training implementation plan in convergence with the Department and theme lead.
Review, Monitoring and Knowledge Management
• Coordinate with the Department for organizing regular review and monitoring meeting at the Department level and facilitate joint field visit with the Department officials.
• Attend Periodic review meeting of the field team with specific emphasis on system strengthening aspects.
• Plan and conduct knowledge sharing and dissemination activities/workshops with the Department and other stakeholders in collaboration with the Program lead.
Qualifications
• Master Degree and higher qualifications in Education/ Social Science or relevant academic streams.
Experience
• At least 5 years of thematic and pedagogical leadership in the relevant field in the areas of teachers training, training module development, program evaluation and assessment, instructional material designing etc.
