Position: Senior Associate, Fundraising

The individual we’re looking for:

• Will be happy to work independently and in teams, equipped with a strategic mindset, focus, drive and enthusiasm, as well as excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Will share our ambition and audacity to transform the educational landscape of India by making government schools excellent learning spaces

• Will be adept at planning, multi-tasking and prioritising your time 

• Will map the education funding trends across the world to build donor intelligence and create a database pipeline of aligned foundations, grants, corporates and individuals to target (Internationally and domestic)

• Will be excited about generating and securing profitable long term relationships across the developmental sector (CSR, philanthropists, HNIs, resource partners et al)

• Will be able to add valuable inputs and solidify a long term fundraising strategy

• Will be able to research, acquire and maintain sound and updated knowledge of the organization to better comprehend all projects and programs for which grants can be sought.

• Will create high-quality proposals which invest and inspire various stakeholders

• Will be able to demonstrate the logic behind and outcome of SEF’s project and show the impact the funds will have.

• Will be responsible for maintaining reporting including but not limited to trackers for Proposal Applications, Donor Conversions, Donor Engagement, Reporting, Fund Utilization

• Liaison with project teams, finance, communication and organizational development teams to ensure effective allocation and utilization of funds. 

You must have:

•  2-3 years of experience in a fundraising role, ideally in the nonprofit sector

•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•  Strong writing skills 

• Working knowledge of Excel

•  Ability to build and manage relationships, influence and negotiate at senior levels

•  Readiness to ask for money and close deals

•  The wherewithal  to work under pressure and be innovative with limited resources

•  Patience to navigate all kinds of unprecedented challenges and failures

•  Readiness to commit for minimum 2 years because it takes time to make a difference

At SEF, you will:

• Work closely with the CEO and Leadership team to help build a funding backbone that will support the growth and scale plans of SEF

• Ensure that SEF is established as a credible and impactful brand among its supporters and others in the ecosystem

• Meet targets and deadlines as required

• Be willing to take up additional responsibilities outside your profile if need be

Salary Range - 5,00,000 INR to 6,00,000 INR
