Scope of Position:
Oxfam India is seeking a communications officer to plan/implement/manage the organization's communication strategy and be a leader in optimizing digital content for our different audiences.
Skills Required:
A communications person who can:
·Write/Create engaging content to drive engagement on different OIN verticals
·Be reactive and updated with the latest developments on issues OIN works on
·Respond in real time on such issues with creative content
·Optimize and create content for digital audiences
·Set and achieve ambitious targets
·Understand social media analytics (organic and paid)
Digital Fundraising:
1. Work closely with digital marketing team to create engaging content for multi-channel digital marketing campaign with core focus on acquisition of new donors (Google Adwords text ad copies, social media ads, banner ads etc.).
2. Collaborate and coordinate with multiple teams to provide regular updates about Oxfam India’s work.
3. Work collaboratively with digital media team to analyze key metrics of digital marketing campaigns and regular improvement based on the feedback.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individual Fundraising:
1. Working closely with the Individual FR team to:
·Develop campaign specific supporter journeys and engagement strategies.
·Creating content for multi-channel digital marketing campaigns for supporters and donors.
·Write and produce engaging content (e.g. supporter emails, Ads for social media platforms, multimedia content, magazine, other printed materials) for supporters/donors.
2. Research newer ways of communicating to donors and supporters (e.g. new platforms/ apps/ websites) to increase engagement and retention.
3. Be able to execute innovative ways of connecting with donors.
Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree 2.Minimum 3-5 years of experience of creative writing for different channels 3.Extensive knowledge of content platforms, media organisations and the latest digital trends 4.Experience in setting up processes and implementing procedural change across diverse and multidisciplinary teams 5.Strong knowhow of digital analytics 6.Exposure to website design and development 7 Ability to work independently and with the team. 8 Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines. 9.Open to learning new tools and communication ideas 10.Exposure to HTML, Photoshop, Drupal CMS, Google analytics, Sprout social and other digital tools. |
