Position: Project Manager

Position Responsibilities 

• Plan, coordinate and execute assigned research projects 

• Conceptualize research design, approach and methodology, draft proposals for new projects 

• Lead and support research team to complete projects within allotted timelines and budgets - this includes supervising both secondary research and primary research involved in the project

• Perform day-to-day management of project team and address any team issues promptly 

• Prepare project documentations, financial reports and research progress reports 

• Support in donor and partner communications 

• Work with management on project’s research plans and strategy 

• Conduct team meetings to discuss about project status and issues

Position Requirements 

• Minimum three years work experience in a research, public policy or other relevant field - experience working on research assignment related to water management is preferred 

• Prior experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously 

• Minimum one year experience supervising staff 

• Prior experience in preparing technical and financial research proposals 

• Masters in Business Management, Economics, or Public Policy 

• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills

• Proven problem-solving and leadership skills 

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Word and Excel 

• Basic skills in statistical analysis software (STATA)  

• Demonstrated expertise in rural and urban water management issues

• Keen interest in labor, employment, and globalization issues 

• Legal eligibility to work in India
