Position: Area Manager

Organization: Dr. Reddy’s Foundation 

Location: Eastern UP districts

Major Deliverables:

• Plan and Execute implementation of district operations in consultation with PM

• Collaborate with partners and local stakeholders to improve the dissemination of selected crop management practices among the farmers

• Support and build capacities of community facilitators in performing their role.

• Network with local stakeholders like public extension system, Panchayat Institutions, to strengthen the lead farmers platform

• Institutionalize the lead farmer platform at village level and block-level

• Plan and organize different engagement and outreach activities as part of promoting sustainable agriculture practices among the farmers

• Achieve the set short and long term goals of the project through effective planning and execution.

• Identify the problems in the process of dissemination of sustainable agriculture practices and come up with possible solutions

• Report project performance to the management team on a periodical basis.

Functional Competencies:

• Experience in working with rural/ farming communities and multiple stakeholders like govt bodies
• A deeper understanding of Agriculture and allied sector
• MS office

• Communication skills

Essential Attributes:

• Agriculture input sales experience at the block/ district level
• Self-driven and requires very minimum monitoring

Desired Attributes:

• Has experience of conducting program-related surveys
• Has worked in community-driven development initiatives/ private agriculture extension projects

Education Qualification:

• MSc/ BSc Agriculture or MBA in Agri-Business management
