Position: Associate Director

Roles & Responsibilities – Associate Director (Monitoring & Evaluation)
The Associate Director (M&E) will be engaged with State Leads and local teams and will report directly to the CEO based in New Delhi. He / She will be responsible for evaluation of program designs, execution plans, timely and accurate reporting of evaluation metrics to project funders and overall for supervising high quality delivery of TEA programs across India. The key roles and responsibilities of the position will be:
- Design program monitoring and evaluation approach for ALL TEA programs
- Design M&E framework and plan with clearly defined performance indicators, targets and milestones
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure effective implementation of M&E plans
- Conduct regular update meetings/check-ins with internal and external stakeholders to communicate program progress and manage funder expectations.
- Track program progress on key indicators according to the M&E framework
- Deliver program updates / reports to funders as per relevant projects as needed (Quarterly, yearly, etc.)
- Support On ground implementation and monitoring
- Support State teams with program planning such as budgets, timelines, resources impacting program outcomes
- Support State teams to identify operational bottlenecks, efficient utilisation of resources and devise solutions
- Ensure high quality documentations (reports, presentations, proposals) for internal reviews and funders
- Capacity building and database creation
- Ensure effective transfer of knowledge from external partner to TEA team, to build the latter’s institutional knowledge and capacity
- Understand key aspects of program success, such as possible avenues to scale interventions, monitor program outcomes and improve governance structures
- Synthesize best practices and program learnings to strengthen TEA’s institutional knowledge and support thought leadership activities (such as for State reform, FLN, etc.)
Skills and Qualifications
- Preferred work experience of 8-10 years including 3-5 years of post-graduation work experience (MBA or MPP/MPA)
- Experience with project management, monitoring & evaluations in education sector and people management is necessary and crucial for the role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Experiences working with government is desirable, though not necessary
Salary: INR 20 lakhs+, Commensurate with experience
