Position: Consultant Health Educator

Remunerations:-10000 per Month subject to deduction of TDS as applicable

Summary of Key Functions:

The Health educator will be responsible for over all planning of service delivery at the field for behaviour change or service up take. Health educator has to plan counselling sessions by counsellor, clinic services by physician,advocacy and networking with stake holders .Maintenance of real time records and report to the Project Manager.Rapport building with the target population and mobilize them for various services.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum graduation in any field ( preferably in social science / Science) with good knowledge of local community and local language.
• Health educator from the community shall be preferred. The wards of truck drivers and helpers having above mentioned qualification are encourage to apply.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Should have strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in small teams, and flexible timings of working.
• Ability to work hands-on with limited resources, independently or in a team setting
• Proficiency in capturing real time data, data analysis, reporting & case study compilation
• Equipped to work with multicultural and diverse populations.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Mapping of all truckers in assigned area those are barred to enter city limits.
• Responsible for preparing micro-plans for each hotspot.
• Stakeholder management to discuss and rope in support with the stakeholders in smooth implementation of the programme in the area.
• Facilitate HIV counselling.
• HIV testing (VCT and self-testing) and referrals of reactive cases to higher/Govt. center.
• Dissemination of information, Education, communication (IEC) using different modalities, strategies and tools for behavior change communication (BCC).
• Assist individuals in self-testing and interpretation of result data.
• Ensure micro plans and line listing is updated on daily basis and the same is shared with TCIF HQs through Project manager.
• Discuss with the counsellor on daily basis to understand the requirements at sites with poor service uptake, increasing number of due and overdue follow ups and micro plans to be updated accordingly.
• Identify and manage condom social marketing outlets as per the guidelines
• Adhere to strict procedures of confidentiality, release of information and data security.
•  Maintain accurate and complete participant records, tracking contact, counselling, testing, referrals, and outreach performance as defined by TCI Foundation.
•  Responsible to collect demographic information and the information needed to accurately complete in the application forms.
• Must perform job duties in a professional manner, including arriving at program sites early so that set-up occurs and sessions are started on-time.
•  At least 20 days in the field visit required and should be target orientated.
• Performs other duties as and when assigned.
