Responsibilities:
Build a strong digital culture in the foundation by being an evangelist and promoter of the media, and through structured programs that institute and enable such a cultural shift.
Design, build and maintain digital presence of the foundation in India via multiple social media channels.
Lead development of digital strategies that reach the key audiences and stakeholders with tailored messages on programs to advance goals, measure the impact of these strategies.
Lead deployment of the execution plan aligned with the local digital strategy, and global digital principles; define objectives; recommend choice of channels; allocate resources for effective and impactful communication for intended audience; measure the outcomes.
Drive campaigns to advance program goals in India and amplify global campaigns so that foundation’s program and advocacy objectives are met, and audiences are engaged, and they grow.
Use appropriate digital channels as an adjunct or distinct vehicle to reach these partners to represent the foundation and advance programmatic goals.
Develop a suite of digital listening tools to measure the current status of program online communities and develop strong proactive strategies to shape narratives on these issues.
Execute all digital strategies including management of social media channels, SEO/SEM, CRM, earned media and paid activities.
Strong analytical and digital tools that use latest technology of data analysis and language processing to develop and iterate content that resonates with program strategies and communities.
Set performance metrics for digital activities and work with partners to achieve benchmarks
Improve sentiment across program activities and seed proactive and reactive content strategies
Manage the investment portfolio including contracts and grants which reflect the performance metrics.
Identify a team of specialists with who the foundation could partner to build cutting edge digital programs for building a community that strongly cares for the issues that the foundation works on.
Day to day management of digital activities through strong program led calendars and project management skills.
Co-develop with the government department programs to enhance their capabilities of delivering digital communications and campaigns as per their strategies and measure impact.
Act as a conduit between ICO Communications team and Central Communications division in Seattle on digital and campaign management.
Advise on locally generated and localized content creation, including identify and elevate stories of success to integrate into Communications-wide storytelling effort.
Systematize partnership with other Regional Office communications colleagues to use connections to drive efficiencies and support ICO Communications strategy.
Work in partnership with ICO program team on relevant portfolio- to support programmatic and advocacy objectives through effective digital communications strategies.
Qualifications:
Master’s in Business Administration or an equivalent degree, preferably with ~10 years of experience in brand and digital management.
Seasoned communications professional with experience working of managing digital communication in India or in international markets and/or experience serving as independently managing significant brand / product portfolios for a significant, high-profile organization such as a major non-profit entity, government agency, or public corporation.
Proven track record in digital marketing with high profile individuals or entities is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of digital brand communications, social marketing, SEO & SEM, ORM, research and analytics
Experience working in government, public affairs, and/or communications roles preferred.
Able to bridge the needs of the new media and internal constituencies.
Able to drive consumer centric digital strategies to advance our country and program objectives.
Demonstrated success in developing and handling digital communication for your organization around policy initiatives, communications programs, and projects.
Analytical skills to understand digital landscape, channels, tools to develop sharp and targeted strategies to reach diverse audiences and ability to measure impacts.
Work experience requiring strong written and oral communication skills for a broad and diverse audience, including experience preparing communication materials with complex subject matter.
Demonstrated effectiveness and interest in leading and coordinating colleagues from across a variety of fields in a complex organization.
Enthusiasm for, and commitment to, the foundation’s mission, issues, and ideas.
Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a complex team effort.
Ability to travel across India and to the U.S.at least 20%
