Position: Program Officer, Mental Health

Eligibility:

 We are looking for young individuals who are passionate about social justice and are looking to work with a young, dynamic and dedicated team. You must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

  • A minimum of a MA in counselling or clinical psychology from a recognised institution. Note: we will require the person to facilitate some group therapy sessions and hence this requirement to be compliant with law from our end; 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; 

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; 

  • Extremely high attention to detail; 

  • Empathetic; 

  • Ability to work under strict deadlines; 

  • Excellent facilitation skills

  • Ability to innovate and make mental health concepts and theory accessible to a larger audience; 

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills; 

  • Be a strong team player; 

  • Able to work from a lens of equity, intersectionality and social justice; 

  • Ability to think independently, push back and strategize effectively; 

  • Able to work independently and on their own time without supervision; 

  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly when new digital trends come up; 

  • Preference for someone who can speak Hindi and English but this is not a mandatory requirement; 

  • Ability to accept and action feedback quickly. 

The key roles and responsibilities will include: 

  1. Undertaking research on mental health in line with the organisation’s strategy and vision;

  2. Conducting thorough research, building curriculum and facilitating on issues pertaining to themes on mental health that we work on, and contributing to in-house publications including shareable content, guides, manuals, and research studies;

  3. Leading management of and facilitation of a recurring peer counselling program;

  4. Designing and leading advocacy efforts;

  5. Supporting work on the COVID-19 Mental Health Rehabilitation Project by OFC;

  6. Initiating and developing external learning and other partnerships with organisations and institutions as relevant to your work;

  7. Facilitating group support spaces if required

Assisting the overall team on any additional tasks that may arise.

 Salary

The salary for the role will be communicated to all candidates who clear the first round to ensure that the process is fair. Please note that this is an entry level position and salaries will reflect that.
