Position: Fellow, Health and Human Development
Organization: CSEP
CSEP is seeking to hire a Fellow to work on ongoing and proposed research in the Health and Human Development domain. The specific areas of work will include, though not limited to:
- Human development and growth
- Health systems
- Human development and India’s federal structure
- Financing for human development
- Political economy of human development
KEY FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include:
- Conceive, implement, and publish research on relevant health and human development issues, which are critical for India’s development
- Track India’s human development, systems and economic data, and assess the implications for social and policy
- Work with other scholars in planning and executing research and outreach on related topics
- Collaborate with other colleagues in the same and other domains in our quest to make CSEP a pre-eminent think tank
Key requisites:
- PhD in Economics, Public Policy, Public Health or related field would be desirable;
- Prior experience in the social policy space, a basic grasp of health and human development issues in India;
- Understanding of key macro and sectoral data and relevant policymaking bodies;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent command of English is a must;
- Strong analytical and writing skills;
- Very high energy level; a self-starter;
- Ability to work/guide on multiple studies simultaneously, independently or with guidance from senior/distinguished fellows
