Position: Skills Trainer

Location: Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation

Key Responsibilities

 Create training plans and deliver employability skills, life skills and other work-related training that empowers women to take up employment.

 Deliver training using innovative methods including activity-based learning, role plays, experiential learning techniques.

 Evaluate the quality and impact of training.

 Work with women to identify their livelihood targets and support them to achieve these targets through the skills training program.

 Start all batches with a proper induction program.

 Support women to complete trainings and take up job placements.

 Make training delivery plans and time tables.

 Undertake one on one needs assessment to identify the strengths ad limitations of the women and accordingly make training plans.

 Keep the women motivated and engaged during the entire duration of the course.

 Keep a track of women’s attendance and address any challenges being faced by them.

 Motivate and encourage women to take up jobs at the end of their training.

Skills and Qualities

 Ability to effectively communicate and share about the project with the target group.

 Skills to effectively engage women in the training program.

 Keeping the women motivated and encouraged to complete the course and take up employment.

 Working with the family as a whole.

 Data collection and data entry.

 Maintaining training records, attendance, observations etc. and sharing with the manager.

 Comfortable in using MS Word, Excel.

 Comfortable in using technology for online classes and operating emails for communication and data sharing.

Expectations

 Graduate in any field with relevant role exposure of Minimum 2 years.

 Experience of providing training to youth/women.

 Planning and designing training sessions.

 Understanding issues related to working women and child care.

 Target oriented

 Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English and Hindi/Marathi.

 Person needs to be self-initiator.

 Ability to persistently work with the stakeholders through the Pandemic
