Roles and Responsibilities:
Contribute towards development of situation assessment reports to boost the understanding of context of CIDCs in India and HCL Uday Districts basis the geo-political, cultural, community, situational and other factors to strengthen programs
Conduct periodic rapid assessment to identify areas within the specified cities where children are employed in hazardous forms of labour/living in most difficult circumstances and devising a strategy to engage them in meaningful recreational and educational activities
Support the thematic teams at HCL Foundation in ensuring the CIDC program strategy adheres to appropriate National and SDG standards and its implementation
Develop strategies for protection of CIDCs in emergencies and oversee their implementation
Develop and implement strategies to mobilise CIDCs and out of school children for bridging, mainstreaming and retention through well-documented case records with clear M&E indicators
Implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum for CIDC, focused on bridging and remediation –using innovative techniques such as drama in education, TLM based delivery, sports, arts, culture and music.
Ensure holistic and all round development of children enrolled in the Gurukul centres
Devise and implement strategies for prohibition of Child Labour
Work with partner organizations of HCL Foundation to ensure operationalization of approved projects
Provide regular coordination support for day-to-day functions across projects and themes in high pressure situations
Ensure that programs continue to be informed by and integrated with other themes at HCL Foundation such as other Education Programs, Health, Skill & Livelihoods, Environment and Gender & Inclusion
Develop case studies, manuals, SOPs, policies for management of CIDC programs and document best practices to produce high quality reports
Maintaining comprehensive dashboard of the program in accordance to the requirements of HCL Foundation
Facilitate the development of program budgets at organizational and partner level
Monitor program progress against both programmatic and budgetary targets, making adjustments as necessary
Ensure timely submission of progress reports as per requirements of HCL Foundation and ensure utilization at partner level.
Qualifications and Skills:
Masters or postgraduate degree in Social Work, Education, Child Development, Child Psychology or allied areas.
3-5 years of experience of working with CIDC/ child protection/ state schools especially primary and secondary schools, with evidence of working on quality education, curriculum development, community mobilization, data collection, analysis and documentation
Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong analytical ability to design, implement and evaluate programs from a gender sensitive lens
Ability to deliver on time, independently, to work with a range of stakeholders, including the ability to perform in a corporate environment and present the work at various forums.
Skilled in managing complex and time-sensitive processes
Skilled in program management, volunteer engagement, networking
