Role of Fundraising Associate:

• As a start up we are responsible for raising the resources and expenses for the organisation as well as our programs.
• One of our core principles is to remain non-partisan and inclusive. For this, it is important that we don't build an institution funded by a few people with a certain political leaning or interest.
• We want ISD to be co-owned by everyone and we invite both small and big contributions from everyone.
• Within fundraising we are working to invest high net worth individuals, foundations as well as using a crowdfunding platform to raise our money. As a fundraising associate you would be working closely with the co-founders of ISD and supporting this work.
• In your role as Fundraising Associate, you will work on:

Fundraising research & Grant Writing:
● Secondary research to find potential donors
● Building a retail pipeline of funders
● Writing grant and funding proposals
● Set up a tech system for regular follow ups
● Call retail donors at set intervals for feedback and renewal of commitment
Relationship Building:
● Sending written communication and follow ups with current donors
● Planning and coordinating meetings and events
● Relationship building and investing regarding the organization
● Managing the online crowdfunding platform

Job Description: Fundraising Associate

Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in political science, policy or a relevant field
● 2-3 years of full-time professional experience; ( this is a non negotiable)
● Prior experience with fundraising, crowdfunding or grant related work
● Experience in primary/secondary research skills
● Great communication skills in English & Hindi, one more Indian language will be an
added benefit
● Attention to detail, process oriented and can manage to work in uncertainty
● Conscientious, disciplined, committed to rigor in all aspects of work and professional
● Entrepreneurial, frugal with the ability to give and receive feedback
● Ability and willingness to work with people from across the political spectrum
Location: Based in New Delhi
Compensation: Remuneration will be based on competency and we will be building ISD
together. Salary range for this role will be 3-5 lakhs per annum to begin with. We are hoping you
grow with the organization, and we will revise salaries as we grow.
