Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the implementation of the workflow Changing Gender Social Norms to Address Structural Causes of Violence against Women and Girls in close coordination with the PO, Gender Justice
- Planning the actions in alignment with the workflow objectives
- Coordination with Community Program Implementer, Community Mobilizer and Counselor for smooth operation of the project.
- Liaison with multiple state/district departments for advocacy and influencing
- Liaison with range of stakeholders (private sector; CSOs; human rights groups; local leaders)
- Taking lead in state and district level actions/ advocacy related to the workflow
- Delivering capacity building sessions on gender, patriarchy, sexuality etc.to the youth collectives and other stakeholder.
- Delivering capacity building sessions on women’s economic rights to different stakeholders
- Preparation of quarterly, semi-annual and annual report as and when needed
- Documentation of different capacity building and campaign events held under the workflow
- Organizing state level and district level meetings/ events
- Conduct/ support in research activities under the workflow.
- Review and monitoring of the community and district level work and reporting its progress.
- Supporting/ coordinating outcome evaluation of the workflow.
- Frequent travel to district, block and villages to review and monitor the progress of ground level actions
Skill and Competence:
- Master/Post graduate in Social Work/ Science or equivalent and substantial working experience of at least 3-4 years on gender justice issues in development sector
- Strong understanding on the core issues of gender, violence against women, discrimination, inequality and social exclusion issues.
- Understanding on key thematic areas in alignment with Oxfam India’s areas of work.
- Liaison skills with government and multi stakeholders.
- Ability to work with alliances and networks at district and state levels.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to do advocacy with administration and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and communicate complex programme information to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to connect ground level issues.
- Sound writing and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting situation.
- Positive outlook and interest to take up challenges
Relocation:
During the course of employment, the post holder may be required to move base on a temporary or permanent basis to any workplace controlled by Oxfam India.
Travel:
Willingness to travel and undertake sustained fieldwork as per requirement of the particular position
