About the role

The Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Engagement will be responsible to identify, nurture and expand Madhi’s ties with both state and donor partners. In addition to supporting the execution of a strong government relations strategy, they will also play an instrumental role in ensuring that the organisation’s funding target is met on time. They will also engage in purposeful and meaningful partnerships with other organisations in the sector. It is a role that provides an exciting opportunity to build purposeful collaboration across a wide range of stakeholders.

In this role, you will support the partnerships team to:
1. Government relations:

• Support the Senior Manager in creating government engagement strategy
• Attend government meetings at various administrative levels as required and articulate Madhi’s vision in a compelling manner
• Meticulously track and record the minutes of every government meeting conducted with the state
• Coordinate with various project team leads to ensure smooth functioning of Madhi’s government projects

2. Donor Relations:

• Support the Senior Manager in creating donor management strategy
• Evaluate Madhi’s eligibility to apply for new funding opportunities through CSRs and philanthropic foundations in the regional, national and international landscapes
• Draft proposals and grant applications
• Manage and track donor engagement through well-defined database systems
• Ensure all external communication aligns with Madhi’s quality standard and guidelines before it gets disseminated

3. External partnerships:

• Network with other organisations and potential partners with whom Madhi can synergise
• Methodically document and track Madhi’s association with external organisations in the landscape towards creating meaningful partnerships

• Have worked in the development sector and understand what it takes for non-profits to collaborate purposefully
• Have outstanding communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Have proven planning skills and take pride in seeing projects to completion
• Have the ability to adapt and work in a small and dynamic team

• Having a keen eye for detail and can produce different types of reports with a short turn around time.
• Having the ability to deliver compelling donor pitches.

Mandatory prerequisites include:

• At least 3-4 years of work experience. Experience of having worked in stakeholder management or administrative roles in organisations in the education sector would be an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Any undergraduate degree in a related field

This role will report to:

• Senior Manager, Partnerships.

Location:

• Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Remuneration:

• 7.6 - 9.8 lakhs per annum
