Responsibilty:

Communications Consultant for Gender-Sensitization and Mentoring program for young men in select regions.
The Consultant will be responsible for working with a cross organizational, multidisciplinary project team to deliver the project to agreed objectives, timelines.

Preference:

The candidate should preferably be based in Mumbai and may require some travel within India after a few months, depending upon the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

Role Description: 

• Look after all communications-related matters of the organization
• Contribute towards content and visually-compelling designing of all advocacy and community outreach material - offline and online media engagement on topics related to toxic masculinity, gender inclusion, sexuality, violence and  gender-sensitivity
• Devise suitable campaigns that engage, inform and motivate the users to take the desired action 
• Maintain a strong online organization voice through different media and build, execute social content calendars featuring videos, photos, graphics and text.

Skills, Knowledge required:
• Creative individual with proven ability to collaborate closely and work with multi-disciplinary teams, partners and youth 
• Demonstrated skills in content and designing of communications material
• Excellent interpersonal communications, negotiating and team-work skills
• Excellent written communications skills and experience of written reporting, designing posters / invites and other types of communications for a variety of audiences.

Desired experience:

• Experience of social and behavior change communications/communications for impacting target audience 
• Experience of using audio-visual and other media to disseminate information, generate awareness, mobilize people and create dialogue
• Experience in graphic designing, video-editing, website-content development
• Experience of working on gender issues and /or with women’s empowerment
