Internship summary
Unstructured Studio is looking for a full-time intern to design and develop tinkering activities for educators & children from under-served communities in India. We have prepared design guidelines for tinkering activities, have some ideas for developing new ones, and are open to trying out yours too! Ultimately, new activities will help extend our repository of low-cost tinkering and making activities available at https://kriti.unstructured.studio. You will be working remotely with our geographically dispersed team, including a researcher, scientist, and educator. Note: This internship is paid and lasts 2-3 months.
Responsibilities
● Propose new ideas for activities keeping in mind our design guidelines. .
● Rapidly prototype ideas, get constant feedback from mentors, and iterate on them.
● Video documentation of projects highlighting your motivation, materials required and making process.
● Prepare how-to guides, facilitation tips, and other activity resources using our content style guide.
● Collaborate with external artists, researchers, and educators to bring new ideas for improvising the activity and taking it to the next level.
● Publish the materials on the Kriti website.
● Optionally, try out the activity with children or educators via online/ offline workshop.
Requirements
● Tinkerer / Maker at heart or aspires to be one! We want to sneak a peek into some of your tinkering experiments.
● Basic video making and editing skills, familiarity with using CMS, and an interest in developing educational materials.
● Fluent in written and spoken Hindi and English.
● Needn't be enrolled in any degree program or be in a particular age group to apply.
● Prior experience engaging children in hands-on workshops would be a plus.
