Name of the Post:  Project Coordinator

Educational Qualification: Graduate/ Postgraduate in any field from a recognized university

Experience: At least 5 years of experience of working on Child health / IMCI desirable

Languages: English and Hindi (Read, speak and write)

Computer Literacy: Knowledge and practical skills on MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint and Internet

Technical knowledge: Experience of handling android phones/ tablets and digital tools mandatory

Reporting to:Hierarchically: Mentor / Advisor, Functionally: IeDA Project Manager

Technical support: Tdh Health team (IeDA Project Manager, IeDA Training and Advocacy officer and Health Programme Manager)

Job responsibilities:

  • Responsible for smooth implementation  of the IeDA project within the project period ( 9 months) with support from the Tdh IeDA team
  • Acts as the focal point for the IeDA project; and the link between the Field coordinators and the Tdh IeDA team.
  • Responsible for coordinating/looping in DFY Mentor/ Advisor for support in the project; and regular reporting and updating the progress of the project. Where deemed necessary, technical support will be sought in consultation with the Tdh IeDA team
  • Coordinate and work closely with the VRIDDHI team (IPE global team) to seek their support in the project
  • Support the Tdh IeDA team for field preparations, organizing meetings and fieldwork related to data collection for baseline and end-line surveys
  • Take the lead in planning and organizing the IeDA project launch with support from the Tdh IeDA team (IeDA project Manager and IeDA Training and Advocacy Officer)
  • Following project launch, an introductory visit to the respective HCFs (Healthcare Facilities) to meet the Healthcare Workers (ANMs and Medical Officers)
  • Take the lead  with support from the Tdh IeDA team in planning and organizing the Project Kick-off workshop with District level government authorities and other key stakeholders
  • Plan, organize and Support Dimagi ( technology partner) team during scoping visits/ field trips for meeting with the HCWs (Health Care Workers) and post-deployment of the IeDA-IMNCI application
  • Support the Tdh Training and Advocacy Officer to plan and organize IeDA ToT (Training of Trainers), IeDA-IMNCI training sessions for the HCWs; and coaching training sessions for the Field Coordinators and the District Officials
  • Be part of the ToT and IeDA-IMNCI training sessions to coordinate and support to carry out the training programs smoothly
  • Participate in the meetings with local stakeholders (Community leaders; elected officials; administrative representatives) to discuss IeDA, and to seek necessary support from them for implementation of the project
  • Take the lead in planning and organizing the coaching training on using coaching application for district officials
  • Random coaching visits to HCFs with the Field Coordinators to observe and provide feedback on the performance of HCWs, and to provide additional help on how to perform common actions correctly.
  • Support semi-annual supervision of DHMT by Officials on their management of IeDA-IMNCI application performance
  • Attend quarterly Quality Improvement (QI) sessions with HCWs and DHMTs (District Health Management Teams)
  • Intermittent follow up/ supportive supervision visits to the HCFs, and one-to-one interaction with the HCWs to take feedback on the acceptance and usage of the IeDA-IMNCI application
  • Take feedback from the Field Coordinators on the performance of the HCWs, and provide  inputs/ insights on the areas of improvement  in consultation with the Tdh IeDA team
  • Attend monthly staff review and planning meetings and other training/orientation programs within the team
  • Document case studies / good practices among the HCWs from the field and sharing with the IeDA project team
  • Documenting and sending monthly narrative reports to the IeDA Project Manger
  • Compiling expenses and related supporting documents and sending monthly financial report to the IeDA Project Manager
  • Documentation of any other field activities as requested by the Tdh IeDA team
  • Planning and coordinating visits/meetings for Tdh team visiting from Kolkata
  • Support the Tdh IeDA team as deemed necessary
  • Attending any other government/stakeholder meetings as deemed necessary for the IeDA project
  • Reporting any critical issues or concerns to the Project Coordinator/ Tdh IeDA team that needs immediate attention
  • Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the Tdh IeDA team and DFY Mentor/ Advisor 

Payscale:  Rs 30000 per month
