Junior Research Associate

The Junior Research Associate will develop the company’s research portfolio by ensuring the accuracy of data collected and disseminated. S/he will conduct research in socio-economic and political scenarios, keeping the research compliant with Polstrat’s mandate. In collaboration with Polstrat’s Senior Data Analyst, s/he will work on expanding and improving Polstrat’s activities by developing data publications. S/he will be expected to be motivated by political research and must demonstrate focus in a particular socio-economic, political, or social field. S/he should be able to analyze, assess, and verify data collected and carry out in-depth interviews to collect primary data about political constituencies. The candidate must come with a clear focus in a particular socio-economic/social/political field and should be able to assess, verify, and analyze all information collected. Providing extensive research support to his/her client for their parliamentary work. The Junior Associate will under the direct supervision of the Senior Associates. 

Required Qualification and Experience 

• Undergraduate Degree/Bachelors degree in a relevant socio-economic, social, or political field. 
• Inclined towards, and should demonstrate, following of Indian politics and ongoing legislative procedures. 
• Proven interest in political, social, and economic discourses in India. 
• Experience conducting in-depth interviews (IDIs)
• Academic background in one or more of the following subject areas: Economics, Political Science, History, Sociology, English.
