Position: Mentor

Organization: Save The Children 

Location: Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation

Salary: Rs. 15,000-23,000 based on experience and skills

Key Responsibilities

 Train and mentor 15 Balwadi teachers for the entire project duration.

 Mentor 1 After care center in charge and provide them constant guidance.

 Provide handholding assistance to the teachers and after care center in charges wherever required.

 Be an active member in planning and implementation of teacher training.

 To observe teacher’s and after care in charges interaction with children, caregiver support and engagement, teaching skills, etc. and provide them with the necessary feedback.

 Suggest innovate ideas for activities and ways of engaging the children.

Skills and Qualities

 Ability to handle challenging situations and offer solutions.

 Skills to effectively and indirectly work with young children in the age group of 3-6 years.

 Ability to conduct online sessions with teachers and After Care center in charges.

 Willingness to grow and meet the changing demands of the job

 Ability to collect relevant and updated information

 Team Work

 Clear and open communication

Expectations

 Graduate/Post Graduate in Early Childhood and Education, Social work or Human Development

 Minimum Experience of 1 year in preprimary education is preferred

 Thorough understanding of preprimary education

 Proficiency in working with MS office and online platforms

 Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English, Hindi/Marathi

 Person needs to be self-initiator
