Position Title: Sector Specialists/Incubation manager (Health/ Public Health)

Location: Gandhinagar

Duration of Position: 11 Months – Extendable up to 5 years

Brief on the Organization:
Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a Charitable Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act and a Society registered under the Societies Act. IIPHG is actively involved in research activities in the field of Public  Health. IIPHG aims to strengthen the overall health system in the country through education, training, research, and advocacy/policy initiative.

Project Brief

IIPHG NIDHI-TBI FOR PUBLIC HEALTH (IIPHG-NIDHI TBI), is set up under the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations (NIDHI) with support of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. This project is for 5 years.

One of the important activities to establish the TBI-PH includes identification of gaps in the existing domain of public health, where Technology can provide a viable solution. Addressing the solutions and linking technology to improve public health in India would require a new generation of developmental entrepreneurs who combine entrepreneurial zeal, technology, and compassion along with business strategies to build a strong and sustainable organization through values, skills, and experience. In addition, TBI will help to

1. Identify young people with ideas to solve Public Health problems using technology via a national call of application.
2. Select the best candidates for incubation
3. Mentor and nurture selected candidates
4. Organize training and provide lab and entrepreneurial support
5. Help launch social or commercial enterprise
6. Help in patenting

This position is of Sector Specialists for NIDHI-TBI Centre at IIPHG.

Deliverables:

• Assisting in technical knowhow regarding public health sector to create basic and advance awareness for incubates
• Assist in creating PR environment for Incubates
• Assisting in Infrastructure development and enhancement along with event management and capacity building
• Assist in strategy planning cum execution for overall growth towards a self-sustainable model
• Assisting in networking for incubates through institutes, private and govt sectors, individuals and NGOs
• Assist in the selection of candidates for incubation and implementing innovative ideas for incubation and ensure future growth
• Development of appropriate Branding strategy and preparing marketing material to promote incubation center and incubates
• Organize events to facilitate collaborations, technology tie-up, business development
• Assist in developing a proposal for procuring matched grants and networking with other industries, academic institutions, any other activities required for the project and assigned by supervisor
• Assist in handholding & mentoring incubates for rollout plan

Qualification: Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Orientation to Health technology, public health related startups and Ecosystem
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Incubation Center or Health Startups and administration

Other desirable characteristics
Candidates should have good communication skills, entrepreneurial nature, a commitment to high-quality work, and a good team player. Working experiences in health-related startups and or incubation centers with reasonably good growth and success story would be preferred.
Annual Salary (CTC) will be based on the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process. The salary will be up to INR 6.00 lakhs per annum.
